“Yes, it helped me learn exactly who I don’t want in my life.”“Last time I went I realized just how little my fiancé and I had in common.” I brush my hand over my hair and roll my eyes. I would stop talking about Evelyn for now. “I see. I guess it makes sense.”“Not really. I’m still under the impression that I want to revisit Europe and spend a lot more money but nothing I’m too passionate about.” But how boring would Europe be all alone… “And yourself?”I almost say ‘kissing dad’s ass’ but refrain from doing so. I wasn’t passionate about it but i sure did it a lot. I actually have to think about this. I was definitely the prize child of the family… “I liked football until I realize they tackled me because I was easy to tackle not because it was a challenge.” I shrug. “I really wasn’t too passionate about anything besides fitting in and getting good marks in school.”“I’ll believe it when I see it,” I joke. I listen for a while. Lately I hadn’t been zoning people out so much. Well, that wasn’t true.. I was starting to not zone out certain people. I must get more socially acceptable with age or something. “I don’t see why they wouldn’t take you back.” I shrug my good shoulder when she stops talking.
“That makes two of us. But that was a lifetime ago. I don’t think I’m capable of dancing now without looking ridiculous.” I laugh. “Did you have a passion when you were younger?”
“Ah. Such is the life, I suppose. But you’re a lot more intelligent than most football players.” I shrug. “Any passions worth pursuing now?”
“Europe is lovely. I haven’t had many opportunities to visit, but I’ve cherished the journeys I’ve been able to make.” I shrug. “I don’t know that I have the time to have passions to begin with. Always out working.” The man in the mask would be happy. But sacrifices always need to be made for a better future. “If I did have a passion, it would involve doing something nearly impossible. I like challenges, you know.”
I snort at that. The last time I had a partner, well… Let’s not go there. “At least it was a learning experience.”

I laugh lightly. “It’s fine.”

“Hopefully you’ve been able to avoid that kind of personality since then.” I pause. “Sorry. None of my business.”
